Artez was born in 1988 in Belgrade, former Yugoslavia. Love for drawing followed him since he was a child, so graffiti letters and tags that appeared on the streets inspired him to start spraying in public space in 2003. Temporary nature of graffiti gave him freedom to experiment with different styles and tools, and constant change of “workspace” awakened his love for creating art in public space. During first 12 years of his “graffiti career”, Artez mastered the use of spray cans as a tool for creating graffiti, characters, 3D letters & photorealism. Over the years his focus moved from painting small walls with spray cans to painting large scale murals with acrylic & brush. His style can be described as “mix of realism and illustration”. He continues to get noticed, thanks to many murals that he paintes all over the world – India, Argentina, Austria, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Spain, Finland, Norway, Greece and many more.
